Scholarships launched for Indigenous students

The Ganbina Scholarship Clearing House is excited to offer Indigenous students education and training scholarships.

These are made available thanks to Ganbina, Portland House Foundation, Puffing Billy, Linqage International, Adrian and Robyn Appo and The Community Foundation.

 

The Scholarships

Primary School           Prep-Year 6                 $250

Junior Secondary        Year 7-9                      $350

Senior Secondary       Year 10-12                  $500

Tertiary                        Tafe/University            $1000

 

Eligibility

  • The student must be in full-time education (primary, secondary, tertiary).
  • The student must be Indigenous.
  • The student must be aged 5 to 25 years.
  • The student must be a recognised member of the Shepparton/Mooroopna community.

 

Requirements

  • The scholarship must only be used for agreed education related expenses and activities.
  • The student must provide Ganbina with current school reports. Tertiary students must provide an enrolment confirmation from the educational institution.

 

The Scholarship Process

  • There are a limited number of scholarships available and scholarship placements will be filled as applications are approved.
  • Applications for the 12-month scholarships can be submitted in either Semester 1 or 2.
  • Applications will be processed and applicants advised within two weeks of Ganbina receiving the application.
  • Applications will be completed by appointment with a Ganbina staff member.
  • Upon approval the scholarship funds will be made available and administered by Ganbina.
