Ganbina Opens New Echuca Office to strengthen opportunities for Aboriginal Children, Young People and Families

Ganbina has officially opened its new Echuca office, marking an important milestone in the organisation’s ongoing commitment to supporting Aboriginal children, young people and families across regional Victoria.

The new office will serve as a welcoming hub for connection, opportunity and community, providing a dedicated space where Aboriginal children, young people and families can access support, build aspirations and strengthen pathways to education, employment and wellbeing.

Speaking at the official opening, Ganbina CEO said the new location reflects the organisation’s continued focus on creating strong futures through community-led initiatives and partnerships.

“This office is more than a new location. It is a place of connection, opportunity and belonging,” the CEO said. “A place where children and families will be welcomed, supported and encouraged to pursue their aspirations, and where partnerships can grow, ideas can flourish and strong futures can be built together.”

The opening ceremony brought together community members, leaders, partners, staff and supporters to celebrate the expansion of our presence into the Echuca region. The CEO acknowledged the Traditional Owners of the land and thanked Uncle Rick and Darren for welcoming guests with ceremony.

The Echuca office becomes our fourth location, further extending the organisation’s reach and capacity to work alongside Aboriginal families to create meaningful, long-term opportunities for future generations.

“Strong families build strong communities, and strong communities create brighter futures for the next generation,” the CEO said. “We are delighted to officially welcome the children, young people and families of Echuca into the Ganbina family.”

The CEO also acknowledged the contribution of our Board, staff, community leaders and partners whose support and commitment helped bring the new office to life.

As Ganbina continues to grow, the organisation remains focused on strengthening opportunities for Aboriginal young people and families through collaboration, connection and community-led solutions. The new Echuca office will help build on this work by creating a local presence that supports engagement, service delivery and partnerships across the region.

The office was officially declared open at the conclusion of the ceremony.
